The footpath at Ogwell should be built!
Thank you very much for showing an interest in our blog! We feel very strongly about the plans for a footpath being built between the old and the new parts of Ogwell. You may not know about these plans so once you have read our blog, we hope that you will be more informed about the plans for the footpath and also, support it as well.
The Ogwell Action Group is a group of people who support the developments in the Ogwell community. They fund and raise awareness for all sorts of things and one of their plans is to build a footpath connecting the old and the new parts of Ogwell together.
The footpath could possibly run along the red line (Ogwell Road) in the picture above, and therefore will greatly benefit the Primary School, circled in yellow.
Here are some points on why you should support the plans.............
• Ogwell would benefit from the footpath considerably as the village would become a more economical as many people would potentially not use cars as much.
• This would then improve the safety of Ogwell as there would be fewer cars on the roads.
• Because of this, many children and parents would be able to walk to school more. Such as the pupils of Canada Hill Primary School, circled in yellow.
• Walkers would be able to access more places a lot easier as there will be more of a main route through the connecting road.
• Some holidaymakers may not bring their cars, therefore they would not be able to gain access to both parts of the village if the footpath was not in place. Also, more holidaymakers boosts business.
• The people who usually drive to Community Events will be able to walk, and a recent survey we took shows that they would prefer to walk than drive.

Again, thank you so much for reading our Blog!
Have any thoughts on our blog? You can simply post a response.......
It would be great if you could answer a few of the following questions:
* Did you know about the Ogwell action group and their plans to build a footpath before you read our blog?
* Do you now feel more informed about The Ogwell Action Group and the footpath plans?
* Have we changed your views or opinion about the plans and if so how and why?
* Do you support our campaign?
* Would you now tell your family friends about the Ogwell Action Group and the footpath plans and try to persuade them to join our cause?
* Would you now be prepared to make a donation to the Ogwell Action Group?
