We should skate the town at Teignmouth!!
Hello and thank you for looking on our blog! We are supporting our local town Teignmouth with a brand new skate park and we would love to encourage you to join in the big skate.
Recently as you may be aware a skate park had been built in the old outdoor swimming pool. This has been built for the young people of the town who have nothing to do and who would hopefully benefit a brand new place.
However, this skate park is not only for the young people of the town. Everyone is welcome to join in and we hope the towns people will;
* Take up a new interest
* Improve their current skating skills
* Have fun!
As part of out project we want to 1) hear your views on the current skate park and 2) learn whether or not you knew about it & 3) find out whether we have successfully encouraged you to join in skating and if you are for or against the park. By leaving a comment below you are helping us to find out who is likely to use the park and what people really think of the new park.
In conclusion we hope you have taken an interest in skating and we hope that you will join in. We hope to see you there!
Many Thanks!

I did not know about the skatepark in teignmouth even though I go there fairly often. I think it is a good idea as the swimming was never used and the needs to be somewhere for teenagers to keep them from causing trouble at night.U personally would not use the skatepark as it is more of a boy thing but i think other people would benefit from it greatly and it looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI did know about the skate park oin Teignmouth because I don't live too far away from there! I think it is a good idea because the swimming pool was only used for running around in and maybe a small football pitch!! I am not the sort of person to skate so sorry you dod not encourage me but I am more than happy to suggest this skate park to my friends and family!
ReplyDeleteI live in teignmouth and my little brother adores the new skate park. he has been spending his days there all summer with a couple friends and his skateboarding has got really amazing. If it wasnt for this skate park he would be so bored! thanks
ReplyDeleteI am a girl skater and I think that your judgement was wrong. I am now aware of this skatepark and will go there often. Thankyou
ReplyDeletei already knew about the park and i think that is a really good idea and i would use it... if i could skate :L and its great for every one
ReplyDeletei am not reallly a skater person but i might just go there to mess aroung and have fun with my mates <3
ReplyDeleteits a good idea because all they ever use it for is for children to run around inside it!
ReplyDeleteand i would definatley use it!
but i cant skate
thanks
:)
I live in Teignmouth and thought it a good idea as it keeps teens out of troble and helps not to put the public at risk from bikers/skateborders out and about :)
ReplyDeleteI think that the skate park was a really good idea as the swimming pool was never ever used every time I saw it so not very many children came to Teignmouth. Now the new skate park is there I have seen loads more kids there and not just the older ones but some younger ones too. Although I enjoy rollerskating I don't think that I would go there to skate!!!
ReplyDeletei didnt know about the skate park, but now i know about it and all of your support, i will go there more often! not that i can skate...:)
ReplyDeleteI feel that they should build the skate park but maybe not so close to the beach beacuse the noise is quite loud!!
ReplyDeletei did know about the skatepark but now i am more informed you have persuaded me to use it as at first i was against the idea. you have changed my opinion :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on our blog everyone :) we really appreciate it and please tell all your friends and family to comment too xx
ReplyDeleteFrom,

thank you for your comments and support
ReplyDeletethe skate park is there for a fun purpose and we hope you will go and have fun hanging out there! :)
I am a tutor at a local school and am so pleased with this facitily for the kids in our town. The students clearly both enjoy and spend lots of time at the skate park.
ReplyDeleteThe skatepark has been a tremendous asset for the seafront at Teignmouth. The site of the disused paddling pool was both an eyesore and a health hazard and made that part of the seafront seem sad and neglected. No longer!!! It is a hub of activity for bikers, skateboarders, kids on scooters and the other day I saw a guy(about 50) on rollerblades in there teaching some tricks!
ReplyDeletethe skate park has been a great hit i think, i had my nephew visit me a few weeks ago and he loved it, begged to go back every day he was staying! there was lots of people there all the time, i think it will bring more families to Teignmouth.
