This is the story of Stanley. He was found in a field in Wales, and not much is known about his past. When he first came to the Mare and Foal Sanctuary he was covered in lice, mud fever, rain scald and was under weight and was shown to be in a lot of pain and discomfort. After several washes, correct treatment, love and care; Stanley is now a young and happy pony who is now enjoying life to the full showing real potential as his character is coming out.
Stanley is still at the Mare and Foal Sanctuary and is living his new life to the highest of standards. This couldn’t have been possible without the amazing work of ‘The Mare and Foal Sanctuary’. Treatment for Stanley was expensive and time consuming but the caring members of staff based in 3 locations with 10 charity shops full of volunteers, but they need more funds to keep the fantastic work they do going!
Thanks you so much again for reading my blog. Please now post me your response with your thoughts. It would be great if you could write just a few words and answer my following questions and help in any way that you can. Further details can be found online at http://www.mareandfoal.org/ Please help by giving ponies and horses like Stanley a better chance of life.
- Have you heard about the problems caused by animal abandonment before?
- Do you now feel you are more informed about horse welfare?
- Would you now be prepared to do any of the following to keep the amazing work or the Mare and Foal Sanctuary going...
- Make a donation to ‘The Mare and Foal Sanctuary’?
- Start or join a fund raising event?
- Adopting a pony from the organisation?
- Buy one of their merchandise products from their website?
- Spreading the word- telling friends or family about ‘The Mare and Foal Sanctuary’ to persuade them to do any of the above?
Many Thanks!
Jasmine
