Help Shelter Box give lifesaving refuge

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if all of your personal possessions were destroyed? Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you had no home? Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you didn't know what to do next?

These are the thoughts that run through the heads of people around the world when crisis hits. However help is at hand, "shelter box ", a charity based in Cornwall, provides practical resources for the victims of mother nature’s ways. Each large, green Shelter Box is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, groundsheets, water storage and filtration equipment, cooking utensils, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.

Shelter Box's HQ is in Cornwall in the UK. Affiliates around the world support shelter box by raising awareness and funds for families made homeless by disaster. Their goal is to help 50,000 families every year and with your help they will achieve this goal. I really would like you to help me support this brilliant charity. By organising, or taking part in an event that raises funds for Shelter Box, you will be directly providing aid for people affected by disasters all over the world.

Thank you so much again for reading my blog. If you can spare a moment please leave me some responses with your thoughts. I would also like it if you answered the questions below.

  • Had you heard about the work Shelter Box do before?
  • Do you now feel more informed about what Shelter Box do?
  • Would you now be prepared to do any of the following to help Shelter Box
  1. Make a donation to Shelter Box
  2. Join a pressure group top help raise more awareness about Shelter Box
  3. Get involved and help pack up some boxes to send away
If you do post a response, please can you tell me where you come from i.e. home town and country.

Many thanks!
Lauren

  2. I had vaguely heard of Shelter Box prior to reading this Blog, but I wasn't aware of the services they provide. I would definitely say that I am now more informed of what Shelter Box do and why their work is so vital. I would perhaps consider helping the charity in the near future :)
