Heart Attack, not many survive - The British Heart Foundation want to change this!

Hi, my name is Daisy and thank you very much for looking and taking your time to read my blog about the British Heart Foundation that is very close to my heart. I am trying to raise awareness of all the good work that the British Heart Foundation does both locally and nationally, and I hope that once you have read my blog you will feel more informed of this and I hope that you may consider fundraising or donating to them, and convince you that this charity is worthwhile and helpful to the nation!

I believe you should care about the British Heart Foundation because:
  • They save 100’s of lives every day!
  • They are trying to find a  cure for heart disease
  • They care for they sick and give them the best chance to live
The British Heart Foundation was established in 1961 by a group of medical professionals wanting to fund extra research into the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart disease. As a UK charity they live on help from volunteers and fund raising from family and friends across Great Britain. Their mission is to play a leading role in the fight against heart disease, so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death.

Heart disease is the most common death in the UK and nearly 3000 people die each day from a type of heart disease in the United Kingdom alone. Here is a quote from their website,

“ Altogether £500 could help heart patients to set up a Heart Support Group in their community, £5,000 could fund 28 days of specialist Heart Failure nursing, changing the lives of around 170 heart failure sufferers and £180,000 could help us find a cure for heart disease. Thank you but even the smallest donations would help us on our journey”

Thank you very much for reading my blog on the ‘British Heart Foundation.’  Please now take a little more time to complete these questions and leave a response in the comment box and any advice if you may.  Further details are listed below can be found at http://www.bhf.org.uk
