Amigos - Helping Children In Uganda Get an Education

Hello, my name is Daisy. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog on Amigos. Helping children in developing countries is something I feel very strongly about. In many countries we take this for granted, sadly this is not the case in Uganda. Amigos help children in Uganda get an education. I hope you know a bit more

Amigos help children in the North of Uganda where the Lords Resistance Army is terrorising people. They have abducted children to become soldiers; many of these children have been helped by Amigos. Amigos give these children an education in the hope that they will have a better future. However, Amigos can only help children with YOUR help as Amigos is a very small charity.

Bonny (left) was orphaned through HIV/AIDS; he had to live with his neighbours who weren’t any better off. When his sponsor first met him he was very shy. With the help of Amigos he has become a confident and smart young boy who can now build his own home instead of living with neighbours. Many children like Bonny in Uganda are suffering from lack of food and shelter, give these children an education and you instantly secure their future. Bonny is just one example of how Amigos help children in Uganda

We take education as a basic right, give these children this basic right and hope for the future, please visit http://www.amigos.org.uk/ and help children have an education and a better chance of bright and secure future today.

Thank you again for reading my blog. Please leave me a post with your thoughts and it would be great if you could answer the following questions:

about Amigos and what they are doing.
  1. Before reading my blog had you heard of Amigos and the problems that they are trying to solve?
  2. Do you now feel more informed about the issues faced by children in Northern Uganda and how Amigos help them?
  3. Would you now help Amigos by: Making a donation, telling friends and family, sponsoring a child, going to and Amigos fun day, signing up to the newsletter etc.?
Please put your hometown and country (if not UK). Thank you once again for taking an interest in my blog and the charity Amigos,

Daisy.
