Too many pets are being abandoned - help the W.A.W.T. give them a loving home

Welcome to my blog and thank you for taking the time to have a look. I’m Dobrawa and I am advocating for an organization called ‘Woodside Animal Welfare Trust’ to help people understand that all pets need food and shelter and a loving family. I want everyone to know that the needs of animals are just as important as ours, and getting a pet means caring for it in the correct way.

By no means do I mean to discourage anybody from considering adopting a pet. There is nothing happier

This is a big problem. When this happens, the animal usually becomes seriously ill and has to live in unhygienic surroundings. Some even end up having to die of starvation or disease.

Oscar, a Jack Russel puppy, was found roaming around by himself near a main road. If he had wandered off onto the road, it may have been the end for him. Thankfully, somebody who knew about Woodside called them up so that they could take care of him. His skin was injured and he needed washing and trimming. Woodside paid for all the veterinary costs and welcomed him to their family. A couple of weeks later, somebody decided to adopt him. He is still healing, and on a special diet, but he’s settled into his new loving surroundings and is finally in a place that feels like home, thanks to Woodside.

Woodside are the only organization in Devon to take in ALL types of domestic animals. They take care of them and give them a temporary home before somebody chooses to adopt them. Last year, a total of 1247 pets were rehoused because of Woodside’s work. The founder, Carole Bowes was even made and MBE by the Queen, for her contribution to animal welfare.

Please leave your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of this page. Specifically:

than a pet with a good home. I just feel that you have to make sure you would be capable of doing so in the long run. A lot of people don’t look into proper ways of taking care of their animal and sometimes end up just leaving them, thinking they can fend for themselves.
  1. Have you ever heard of Woodside Animal Welfare Trust before?
  2. Do you now feel like you know more about what they do?
  3. Would you consider making a money donation?
  4. Would you consider donating supplies (such as blankets, cat food, batteries etc.) to the organization?
  5. Will you go online to the website: www.woodsidesanctuary.org.uk to find out more?
  6. Will you tell your family/friends about this issue?
Please also state your home town and country when writing your comment.
Thank you again for showing interest in my blog.
