My blog: born free keeping wild life in the wild

Welcome! I’m Lucy Thank you for taking your time to look at my blog. My charity is born free foundation I chose this because it helps so many different animals get help and heal them when things go wrong. Born free is big enough to make a difference but small enough to care, born free was started by a family who thought animals in the wild were badly treated and thought with hard work and determination they could overcome it and make a big difference, they called it born free practically because of the hit song born free by Andy Williams but majorly because they felt animals were born to be free in the wild. The name caught on and finally when they had enough members and donation (in 1984) they started their work. Their first job was rescuing 5 tigers and lions from very small cages in the amazon where they were being shaved for money. This brings me on to my story…

My story is about Izabelle the tiger and her cub. Izabelle had a 6 week old cub when the hunters caught her, they kept her in a cage barely big enough to fit herself in she was only given 2 meals a

Thank you again for taking time to read this, could you please leave a comment with your home town/ country and answer these questions :
week and a bowl of water (only so her fur would still be worth something) when her fur was at its peak it was shaved with knifes (not even proper equipment.) before they could do any more harm like killing her or taking teeth born free intercepted and took her away they healed her and her cub and sent them back to the wild, where they now live happily. If it wasn’t for born free Izabelle would not be alive and neither would her cub, when born free took her cub, he was in a terrible state he had had no food or water/milk for weeks, they hand fed him and when the mother came in it took a few days to reacquainted, they were released they happily went off. Izabelle in now expecting 3 more cubs. Born free is a great charity that helps a lot of animals
  • Have you heard of born free before?
  • Have you ever donated?
  • Would you now consider :-
  • Donating (again)
  • Fundraising
  • Tell people about the amazing work they do.
Born free helps many different animals, to find out more about the amazing work they do visit: http://www.bornfree.org.uk/ it would be really helpful if people donated so they would be able to do more for the animals: they could buy more habitats and expand from the 10,000 animals in their care.

Thanks again
Lucy!
