Help for heroes

Hello my name is Lucy and I would like to say thank you for choosing to read my blog! I hope my blog will make you more aware of this topic, Help for Heroes. Basically, Help for Heroes is an amazing charity. A charity that goes further than just helping people, it saves our worlds heroes.
They help the injured armd forces as they believe they deserve the best chance of recovery so they try to gain our help, money and support. They have many very short simple messages:
• It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife.
• A man that is good enough to shed his blood for his country is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards.
• It’s about 'the blokes': those men and women of our Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of our country since 9/11.
• They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.

And so on.

So now you have an idea of what they are doing. Helping. Saving.
Everything started when two extrodinary people realised the gap in the charity world. They noticed that there were no one that helped these injured people, they just sat and watched the numbers of deaths and injuries go up so they knew they had to do something. The originla idea was to go on a sponsored bike ride from Caen to Cannes to rasie £10,000 but following a sujestion they decided to build a rehabilitcation complex at Headly Court, which is near Epson.. And so they did, they built this and over time with your money they have made it into a huge national place where all the injured armed force members go to recover and get back to the life they alomost lost. At Headly Court they try and provide them with the best possible chance of recovery and that’s why they need your money! They need it to pay for the best possible equipment and physio and staff.

Headly Court couldn’t complete it’s ambition without you. They honestly need you or it would have to shut down. There have been many public events and experiences where the bets known people have taken part like there was a huge concert last year with amazing singers groups dancers and comedians. Also on the ‘x’factor on two occasions they have realised a charity single for H4H and it always goes amazingly and raise so much money. But events that arent this publicise, without all the well known celebrities also take place, like walks, runs and bike rides. This is mainly done by members of the armed forces, they also do things like absailing and sky diving.

So why don’t you take part in something or donate some money to! And so you can be known as an extrodinary person achieving amazing things by helping our worlds heroes!

You can find out more about H4H on www.helpforheroes.org.uk
Thank you so much for reading my blog. Now, please will you take a moment to answer the following short questions. Please also tell me your nearest home town, and the counrty you live in.

Thanks again! Lucy.
