Hello, our names are Eve and Becca and thank you for opening and reading this blog. Our advocacy project is on some cats and dogs being transported all over the world. They are being crammed into crates and sent overseas. They are being transported to be used for meat and fur. You must know that on top of these horrible conditions, they are often not being fed or given water for hours or even days. We feel very strongly about this subject and hope you become more aware of this topic and learn a lot about it from this blog.
The RSPCA has been extremely effective in both highlighting the dog and cat meat trade and urging the Korean government to act against it. This overseas work rarely attracts attention in the UK so we are excited about getting this information out there.
As you may have noticed both of us are very passionate about changing the lives of these poor creatures. Everybody should take some interest in the wellbeing of these animals. And this is why:
• If you had a cat or a dog, would you want them to be taken away in these harsh conditions?
• Animals shouldn’t be treated any different from humans
• Cats and dogs have rights, just like us.
We thank you again for opening our blog and would love if you posted a response and answered these simple questions. It would also be great if you told us where you were writing from, this would help us in further research and advocacy in this subject:
1. Would you ever consider donating to a charity that supports this issue?
2. Did you know about this issue before reading this blog?
3. Do you feel more informed about this issue after reading this blog?
4. Did you know about the RSPCA’s overseas work before?
5. Will you tell family/friends about this issue?
Finally, we thank you again for reading this and we hope you have learnt from it. Our goal is to play a part in stopping this cruel behaviour once and for all and by reading this and answering those questions, you have got us one step closer!
Thank you, Becca and Eve.
