Our brave soldiers are heroes every day, we should help them

They give their all for so help to give back - Help for heroes

Thank you for taking the time to read our blog! Our blog is about the people, the men and women in the army. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who lost both his legs when a bomb exploded; it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about all the injured soldiers that have been wounded during their time during serving for their countries. They are just people but they are our people, they are our heroes.

Our aim is to 1) raise awareness of the charity
2) Convince people to support the charity
And
3) Raise money for the charity

You may be thinking ‘why should I donate?’ Well no-one can force you to donate but we feel like these men and women that fight for the freedom of others should get help from their own country. They have families too, that they love and care for, just like many members of the public.
There are many ways you can help raise money: you could join in with the activities that are set up all over the UK or get sponsored to do something, anything! Or even just donate. For more information visit http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/

Please leave a comment answering these questions:
Where are you reading this blog from? (home town and country)
Do you now feel more aware about the charity?
Would you be prepared to tell your friends and family about this blog/Help for heroes?

  2. I am reading this blog from England, and although I knew about this charity before I read the blog I did not know so much. I definitely feel more aware about the amazing things that they acheive and I would certainly be prepared to tell anyone about this fantastic cause.

  3. This is a fantastic very persuasive blog, I was shocked at the stories told and it really reminds you of the real life situations these people face everyday that often many of us forget.
