No-one should be cruel to their pet – let’s help put a STOP to the pain!
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog! I feel very strongly about the issue of animal cruelty, and I hope that you will understand my views from reading this.
Animal cruelty is such a big issue in the UK and all around the world. The RSPCA base themselves in England and Wales and work to improve the lives of neglected and ill-treated animals. They also rehome up to 70’000 animals each year. Imagine what it would be like if you were left to starve, and were hurt and neglected everyday of your life without reason. How would you feel? Many of the animals that the RSPCA have helped and continue to help once lead a life just like this.
The RSPCA cannot continue the brilliant work that they do without the help and kindness of others. Without financial donors and voluntary workers, there would be no money to fund what they do. Without the RSPCA, so many animals would continue to be at risk and many will die!
Also think to yourself, what would happen to the 70’000 animals that should be rehomed every year? Many of these animals would lose out on being loved again. Most may even end up having to be put to sleep. Without a loving home and a comfortable and clean lifestyle, there is no hope for these domestic animals. I know how much I would hate it if my own two dogs were treated like many of the animals in the UK are today. I love them both very much and feel sad for those animals that do not have anyone who loves and cares for them. I’m sure that if you have pets yourself, you will empathise and understand my views on the issue of animal cruelty.
Animals have no choice in life. They have no voice of their own and cannot tell people when they are in danger like we can. They cannot tell you when they are hurt, or when they are sad. They have no choice but to suffer in silence. The RSPCA helps to rehabilitate and rehome any animals that they find living in an unsatisfactory environment, and stop them from suffering anymore. They give them the chance that they need to start leading a happy and healthy life with a loving family and home. I feel that the RSPCA does so much for animals, and having been established since 1824, you can see how valuable their work is in society. As I have said previously, they need the help of others to continue in what they do. You can do this by simply visiting one of the many shops run by the charity around the UK. There are so many bargains and this will still help the RSPCA no matter what you buy! I hope that you have learned something from this blog and understand my concern. If you would like to find out anything more about the organisation or consider donating online, then you can visit their website: http://www.rspca.org.uk/home
Please do something!
If you would like to leave any comments, I would be so grateful. Please also tell me your home town and country in which you live.
Q1: Do you now feel more informed about the RSPCA?
Q2: Would you consider telling friends and family about the cause?
Q3: Would you be more willing to donate to the charity?
Thank you so much, Ellen.

Q3 Yes - very good idea to point out that you don't have to make a regular donation, but just buying something at a local RSPCA shop can help raise funds for the good work of this charity.
