We must do more to support Barnardos!
First of all, I would like to say thank you for taking an interest in my blog. I hope that once you have read it, you will feel more aware about the issues Barnardos face, convinced that Barnardos is an important and worthwhile charity.
So, what does Barnardos do?
Barnardos is a charity that works with children and families all across the UK. Barnardos help people across the UK who are living in difficult situations. It is not just children that Barnardos help, but families too. They help people no matter what the background, and are not judgemental, meaning that no matter why you need help, you can contact Barnardos. Barnardos help in many different situations including:
• Families who have lost family members in difficult situations, such as suicide or murder.
• Children who have lost parents and need help to find a way in life.
• Families with a family member in prison, who may be struggling as a result.
• Victims of drug misuse.
• Victims of abuse, mental, sexual or physical.
• Child poverty or homelessness.
• Families with a disabled family member or mental health issues.
What’s this got to do with you?
Barnardos is a very important charity, and I feel that it is very important you know what Barnardos does. This is because so many people all across the country are affected in their everyday life by the issues above, and if we are aware of this then we can do our best to help. Although we may not be able to help the individual/family directly as we may not be aware that there is an issue in their life, we can help indirectly through Barnardos to make many families and individuals lives better and easier.
Once again, I would like to thank you for reading my blog, and I hope that I have succeeded in convincing you that Barnardos is worthy of your support. I would like to finish by asking you to please help me by answering the following questions, and if you come from outside of the UK please leave your hometown and country:
1) Had you heard of Barnardos before reading my blog?
2) Do you now feel more informed about what Barnardos is / does?
3) Has my blog convinced you that Barnardos is a worthwhile charity?
4) Do you feel that Barnardos is as important as other better known charities?
5) On a scale of one to ten, please rate how prepared you are to donate to Barnardos before and after reading my blog.
6) If you have any other questions, please add them on to the end of your comment.
Thank-you very much for taking the time to read and complete the questions, I am looking forward to reading your responses! For more information please visit http://www.barnardos.org.uk/.

5. Before reading this, my inclination to donate on a scale of 1 to 10 would have been 5. Now it would be 9 or 10.
A very informative blog which has made me aware of how much support the charity offers to families in the UK.

1 Yes I had heard of Bernardos before
ReplyDelete2 Yes I didn't realise the scope of the work they did.
3 Yes Bernardos is a worthwhile charity
4 Tough question, it depends on what you hold important, any charity that aims to prevent pain and suffering is worthwhile. Children are much stronger than we give them credit for and it is hard to measure their ability to cope. In terms of a humanitarian charity yes it is important and I would rate it above those that deal with animals, I cannot say though weather it is more important than medical charities and environmental charities which have a borader scope. In a direct comparison with the likes of children in need, comic relief, the nspcc and other family/child centred organisations I cannot say as I do not know enough about them.
5 I would be more inclined to donate further to reading your blog and on a scale of 1-10 I would probably say I'm about a 7.
