Cancer Research UK - 1 in 3 Develop It

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog, it is very much appreciated. I am Steph and, the aim of my blog is to grab your attention on how much an issue Cancer is to us; although we may not realise it. It is important that the charity Cancer Research UK gains moral support to help achieve their aims. People may get the idea that Cancer is a successful charity; however there is still an increasing amount of work to still be done – personal issues patients diagnosed with cancer face, and in general contributing to help find a cure.

Cancer is a distressing disease, mentally and physically; once you are diagnosed with it, it does affect the patient in a number of ways. 1 in 3 people develop some kind of Cancer, whether it’s fatal or not; this is why it’s important that people aware, for their own well-being that Cancer does exist, it is common and that it needs to be discovered as early as possible on every person. This is what Cancer Research aims to achieve, it is a well-known charity, although that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need help reaching the goal we all want; for one day we could have a cure to Cancer,

Jade Goody, the strong woman pictured above was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer on February the 14th 2009 , it was terminal which meant she could no longer fight  Despite the bad news and the trouble she was coping with generally, she lived which was her last month in happiness, fulfilling the last aspects of her life; with her two sons, and marrying her boyfriend. Sadly on the 22nd of March 2009 (Mothering Sunday), she passed away leaving her sons, her husband, her family and friends, but most of all her legacy which inspired thousands of women across the world. Jade’s story affected the lives of many women, realising just how important to regularly get examined by the doctors can be; something so simple can change your life. It made others believe they could stay strong while fighting Cancer. Jade’s story had an impact on people no matter how little or how much, her story will go on. However, this is only one Cancer, one in 200, other patients need support too? What happens if they don’t have a family to support them, who do they turn to? This is where Cancer Research gives a help in hand, help pull people through difficult times and relieve some of their stress. More funds need to be raised, we need to continue our great work or our dreams in the hope we’ll cure Cancer will never be completed.

Thank you for reading my blog, I hope it has made you come to terms with how important we keep the success of this charity in continuity. I would be extremely grateful if you could answer a few questions in response, if so please leave your town/country if you live outside the UK.
  • Have you been moved by or learnt anything from my blog?
  • Would you be prepared to donate to the charity?
